The co-founder of Auckland boutique Maman uses a neutral backdrop to showcase her eclectic mix of timeless French and Scandi style
French and Scandi combine in this Remuera bungalow
If you’ve been into Auckland’s upmarket fashion boutique Maman, you’ll already have a fair idea of what co-founder Emma Main’s home looks like. The Remuera bungalow she shares with her husband, William, and their two children, Henry and Scarlett, is an eclectic mix of timeless French and Scandi styles set against a neutral backdrop.
Who lives here?
Emma Main (co-owner and co-founder of Maman boutique), husband William (property developer), Henry, 6, and Scarlett, 4.
Emma, how would you describe your style?
An eclectic mix of classic, French and Scandi styles.
Where does your interest in homeware and fashion stem from?
My sister (co-owner/co-founder of Maman) Kate and I adore all things visual. We were always dressing up in Mum’s fabulous clothes – leather boots from Italy, scarves from France, dresses from the US. She was an exceptional shopper so we learnt from the best! Mum was also very clever with her home; she had a great eye for putting things together. She gave us both a keen eye.
