MasterChef judge Andy Allen and his wife, Alexandra, have bought a contemporary new home in Melbourne’s inner north for $3.85 million. Situated in leafy Northcote, the modern five-bedroom home has been “customised for contemporary luxury on a grand scale”, as the listing reads, and features a “stunning gourmet kitchen” fit for a celebrity chef.

While property data shows Andy and Alex bought the property in December last year, the couple only recently shared the news in an Instagram post showing the pair standing outside their striking new residence. “Melbourne – we’re officially calling this place home!!” the caption reads.

Set across two levels, the contemporised home – the result of a knock-down rebuild – boasts soaring ceilings, stone finishes, a powder room and an undercover deck overlooking a solar-heated swimming pool. The property last sold in 2021 for $1,590,000.

Andy won MasterChef Australia in 2012 and has since gone on to become the co-owner of restaurant group Three Blue Ducks, and a judge on MasterChef from 2020. Andy Allen will be back on our screens with the show’s 16th season kicking off in May 2025.
