Actor Emma Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, have put their Texas property up for sale, halfway through its renovations. The couple purchased the sprawling estate in 2021, located in Austin’s exclusive Tarrytown district. They enlisted the help of Cuppett Kilpatrick, an architecture and interior design firm, to carry out the renovation.
However, it seems the stars have had a change of plans. They have put the half-renovated property back on the market for US$26.5 million (NZ$44.6 million).
Despite the property being unfinished, the completed sections still showcase the estate’s incredible potential. Set on 1.25 acres of land, the estate features a grand four-bedroom main residence. It also includes a two-bedroom guesthouse, a garage with a screening room and entertaining space, and a swimming pool.
The interiors feature plenty of desirable character features, including herringbone oak floors, creamy marble fireplaces, breezeways and leaded glass windows. The estate also boasts a light-filled sunroom and a wood-panelled library. Additionally, there are two generous kitchens, with one finished in a beautiful navy and the other a neutral white. The outside area is just as impressive, featuring sprawling grounds with water features and a cutting garden. There’s also a fairy garden, an abundance of lawn space and old trees.
The buyer will also be happy to learn that the team plans to complete the works in the summer, which is just approaching in the US.
