A small bathroom and laundry in Wellington is completely rebuilt with wonderful heritage features in a functional modern space
A dated bathroom gets a modern makeover with an antique edge
Who lives here? Wellingtonians Greer and Chris Goldsack, Madeleine, 8, and Vern, 4, plus dachshund Kransky, greyhound Evie, and Suzzi Boy the cat.
What was the space like before? It was a tiny, dated bathroom with the laundry included.

What did you do to make it over? It was a complete rebuild. We added an extension which included the master bedroom and a family bathroom.
Biggest challenge? Not being able to live at home while the work was being done, and the fact that it was completed only days before Vern was born.
What do you think of the room now? We love it. It works so well for our family and, four years on, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Budget: 25,000
