Izzy and Jean Co was opened in 2013 after owner Claire Ongly returned from abroad. Having always wanted to start her own business, she decided to launch her carefully curated store of “beautiful, well-crafted and a little bit different” bits and pieces.

Combining her design interest with her love for well-made goods, she created her website Izzy and Jean Co. What began as a pop-up store in Otaki, which she kept open for six months, has now become an online-only venture. She stocks products from all over the world – including Tunisia and Nepal.
