What is the difference between a masticating or centrifugal juicer?
A masticating juicer operates slowly using an auger to “chew” and squeeze juice from produce, while a centrifugal juicer uses high-speed spinning blades to rapidly cut and extract juice. This means faster juicing but also higher heat oxidation, which can lessen the amount of nutrients in the juice. Masticating juicers are often considered better for preserving nutrients in the juice.
