With the lion’s share of the renovation on their Warkworth family home complete, Art and Matilda turned their attention to their three children’s rooms and the playroom.
As parents, this is the fun stuff – creating exciting spaces that ignite imaginations and creativity while still fitting with the stylish renovation of the rest of the home.
Art and Matilda turned to IKEA for these spaces. The Swedish brand, which opened in Auckland last year to much fanfare, is renowned for its affordable bedroom furniture, soft furnishings, bedding, toy storage solutions and all the fantastical finishing touches that kids get a real kick out of.
“The kids’ bedrooms have been completely transformed and are now fun, cool spaces they want to spend time in. Penny has her first big-girl bed (as she calls it) that we can actually make bigger as she grows. Very cool,” says Matilda.
