Create a restful, airy space by cleverly combining beautiful natural textures
Eco chic
Life can be chaotic, so it’s no surprise people are craving calm interiors inspired by nature. This look employs the unadorned beauty of natural textures to create a serene, soul-restoring space. The white is warmed up with layered natural materials including wood, branches, woven fibres, shells, coral and leather. Beading, weaving and tribal touches lend an organic, hand-crafted feel to the room. The style is chic yet casual – perfect for a laidback lounge to relax in.
How to get the look
-Textured paint on the feature wall warms up the white look. You can use different methods to apply textured paint to achieve a variety of finishes.
-Elements like the linen sheet over the sofa and a vintage rug add a sense of casualness to the space and are cost-effective decorating options.
-After layering the white base elements, we added a chair, side table, stools and branches – all featuring natural wood – as a second layer, and then plants in baskets and pots as accents to bring the outdoors in.
-The all-white accessories are far from boring as each is uniquely shaped and textured, from the vases and bowl, to the shells, coral and patterned pouf.
