Are you in need of some stylish storage ideas? While added storage solutions are always a plus in a family home with children’s toys thrown everywhere, blending these pieces with the rest of your home can be tricky.

That’s why we’ve curated a selection (below) of steek yet functional storage pieces and homewares, all with a playful twist to add fun and bring out the personality in your home.

What is the best way to store baby and children’s toys?

When it comes to baby toys, give them a basket of toys that is all they can play with. Switch the toys out after a certain time, operating on a one-in, one-out policy. Babies have so many toys but only play with a few, so when a new one comes in, donate a toy they’re not attached to.

We recommend storing toys in lidless baskets so they’re easy to put away. Also, hang a basket in your wardrobe or use a toy hammock so you’re taking up less floor space.

How can I organise clothes and shoes in my child’s wardrobe?

When it comes to children’s clothing storage, be brutal and edit as your toddlers and children grow out of things.

Use boxes and store like with like, making sure everyday clothes are within easy reach, and special occasion wear is higher up and toward the back of the wardrobe.

Consider keeping shoes in soft drawstring bags with a Polaroid of the shoes attached to the string. This way, you can easily see what they are while keeping the shoes in pairs.
