Residential architectural specialist Wendy Shacklock works with the aim of being the “creative interface between you and your site.” Dedicated to achieving clients objectives, Shacklock has built a flawless portfolio of work, with a particular focus on Auckland, Waiheke, and Queenstown.

Although Shacklock considers herself to have a residential focus, she has also been involved in numerous commercial fit out’s during her long career. Her experience and disciplined approach enable her to produce award-winning results.

Although there are numerous, one of the accolades was for her relocation and expansion of her project ‘Onetangi Beach House’. The original holiday home, which had been in the family for five generations, was retained and relocated at the rear of the property, then a new bach was built to accommodate the expanding family and fully utilise the beachfront site. The modern adaptation of the classic family bach, while still honouring the original structure is both clever and functional, and the house was awarded the 2013 NZIA Local Award for Architecture.
