Stevens Lawson won their first Home of the Year award in 2002, and since then they’ve taken out the title three more times; the most of any practice. First established in 2002 by Nicholas Stevens and Gary Lawson, they have had a dedicated commitment to producing architecture of “humanism and spirit, culture and community.” Their skill at creating innovative designs was evident when they created their first Home of the Year, since then they have gone from strength to strength and have secured themselves as one of the main players on New Zealand’s architectural stage.

Working right across the spectrum of architectural design, they have catered to briefs in residential, public commercial, educational and more. Now a team of 18, they are able to take on a number of varied projects and their portfolio is a complex range of impressive responses.
