What’s the elevator pitch?
Ninja’s most powerful ice-crushing tumbler blender.
Sounds all-powerful.
It absolutely obliterates it. Dashes those cubes against the steel blades and rips them to shreds.
Okay. This is not a horror flick.
Apologies. It’s just that 1100-watt motor is put to good work. Aside from the ice-to-powder snow situation, it also makes light work of fruit, spinach and the like, blitzing them into the smoothest smoothies and juices without breaking a sweat. While it was really designed as a personal iced coffee, protein shake, juice and smoothie maker, it’s also brilliant for blending soup and hummus if don’t want to make vast quantities.
Versatile then?
Exactly. The 26-ounce (around 770ml) vessel is actually an upside-down portable drink tumbler with a 100 percent leak-proof lid and an easy-carry handle. That’s a long drink of smoothie, but around two serves of soup. Super handy as there’s less to clean after blitzing.
Back to the portable tumbler, though.
Yes, it’s very cool. It has similar proportions to a Stanley Quencher, so you can take it out and about with you. Snazzy colour combos too, such as lavender and lemonade, watermelon and bubble gum and pink peppercorn, so they’ll look great on the kitchen bench.
What about if you’re going for a minimalist bench aesthetic where it’s all about clear surfaces?
It’s actually small enough to be easily stashed in a cupboard and brought out when you need it. And if you’ve got a small space, small appliances make sense.
