Let’s face it, dust has a way of making itself at home. Keeping your living space clean is a whole lot easier when you have the right vacuum. We let loose with the new LG handstick vacuum cleaner and suck up a lot of dust.

What’s under the microscope?

What’s the elevator pitch?
The CordZero A9L vacuum cleaners are a new range of sticks, with improved suction, extended run times and features.

Ooh, do tell. What are the suction and run times like now?
There’s a Turbo Mode suction that is mighty. With a whopping 220W of suction, it’s up to 37.5 percent more powerful than the LG models that came before. And with the dual battery situation, instead of getting 60 minutes of run time, that’s now up to two hours on a single charge. That’s great if you have a mansion.

I don’t, but will it work just as well at my more modest castle?
It most certainly will. In fact, there are some new features that really up the ante.

Don’t keep me in suspense…
This version has an auto-emptying dustbin,so if you’re sensitive to dust, you won’t be exposed to it.

I noticed it also has a light when it’s on so you can see what you’re missing under the sofa
It does indeed have an LED light on the Dual Floor Max Nozzle, so you can easily see where you’ve missed.

And how about that Power Drive Mop attachment?
Be still my beating heart. Fill with water, attach the mop pads and your wood floors become dust-free as it mops up stains.

What does the storage tower do?
It recharges the battery, as well as the aforementioned auto-emptying chamber, which makes it great for asthma sufferers.

And you use it the same as other stick vacuums?
Sure do. And all that extra power doesn’t make it any heavier – it’s a featherweight 2.88kg, so vacuuming is super easy. I love that you can carry it upstairs without a second thought,
thanks to the lightness and cordless nature of the stick.

Any cons?
Only that I’m going to have to keep a close eye on it when my son leaves home.
