It was all about feature walls on The Block NZ this week with black and white wallpaper, heritage panelling, a sage green fireplace and a “brushstroke detail” solid gold wall. Shop the looks below
Stacy and Adam
For their living room this week on The Block NZ, Stacy and Adam decided to use the chevron black and white wallpaper they used in the kitchen. The judges thought it was a great idea, saying it was a warm, cohesive space.
To tie in the colours they had used in the kitchen, they found a red piece of art, red and white cushions and accented with a dark couch and sideboard. They chose a warm wooden coffee table to lighten the space.
Sophia and Mikaere
Sophia and Mikaere aimed to produce a “sophisticated and elegant” living room on The Block NZ this week. They channelled a Parisian theme with anaglypta wallpaper, panelled cupboards and twin chandeliers.
They added pops of colour with a recessed yellow shelf, electric blue art and a mustard gold couch and occasional chair. To give the living room the ultimate penthouse experience, they also added in a marble-tiled bar with feature lighting.
Ethan and Sam
The boys went all out in their living room this week. In order to make up for their unfortunate choice of brown in last week’s kitchen reveal, they decided to go with a soft shade of sage.
They paired it with a Gatsby-style wallpaper, black leather couches, a built-in fireplace and glass coffee table for an overall warm and inviting space.
Lisa and Ribz
Lisa and Ribz were determined to go bold this week on The Block NZ. Their feature wall was brushstroke detail solid gold, of which the judges couldn’t get on board with.
They brought in the gold accents in the cushions and styling, along with a leather couch and textured rug.
