A striking black kitchen makes a stylish statement in this Auckland home
For this home situated above Hobbs Bay in Auckland with views of the marina and Rangitoto, the brief was create a modern open-plan space, with a separate three-bedroom wing for guest accommodation.
The couple told Michael Cooper Architects they wanted the kitchen to be the main statement when entering the living, dining and kitchen area. Black was the theme, with black-stained American oak cabinetry and a Florim matte black stone island bench top and splash-back.
A 6mm stainless steel feature wrap finishes off the cooking area and gives the bench some presence. The extensive product range offered by Blum was specified throughout the kitchen and scullery, including fitting out with their range of dividers and accessories.
