When it comes to selling your property, presentation is key! Justine Stedman, director and principal stylist of Vault Interiors, claims that styling for under $50 can be as simple as adding five quick and easy items
“There are several different aspects to consider when styling with affordability in mind. It is 100 percent possible to achieve rewarding results even on a small budget,” says Justine.
Highly regarded in the industry with over 10 years’ experience, Justine’s top five styling tips under $50 include:
1. Artwork
Huge impact, easy on the wallet. Consider framing your favourite photos by creating a gallery wall for your hallway or above a console table. Varying sizes keeps it interesting, while a mix of black and white photos can also look very graphic.
2. Floor and table lamps
Lighting is a great way to create ambience and change the feeling of your home. Justine loves gold pieces, although all metallics are on trend – an easy way to add instant glamour.
3. Plants
Plants instantly brighten up a room. Justine recommends small pots placed on dining tables or coffee tables. Try succulents as they are very low maintenance and a tall palm or fern works well on the floor next to an entertainment unit.
4. Cushions
Every stylist’s go-to trick! Changing up scatter cushions or throws will change the look of a room in an instant. Justine recommends bright citrus tones in summer and deeper tones for winter.
5. Throws
Add instant warmth to a room with a beautiful throw. These are also effective for adding texture or to uplift a space.
