The Block NZ: Week 12 outdoor area reveal

DIY dilemmas, lots of drama and even a proposal, it’s been quite the emotional roller coaster over the past 12 weeks on The Block NZ. With only three days left, the teams raced against the clock to finish up their outdoor spaces and complete their houses in time for the live auction this Sunday.

Andy and Nate

As always, Andy and Nate finished their space to an impeccable standard. The judges commended them on their well thought out design, perfect paving and planting plan. Jason especially loved their cedar hot tub while Bernadette thought the artwork screen added interest to the space.

Julia and Ali

Simple, stylish with a clever use of lighting and lush planting, the judges were impressed with Julia and Ali‘s outdoor area. Ling and Zing

They may be known for their laid back attitude, but this week Ling and Zing pulled out all the stops to complete their final room reveal. The judges commended the brothers for the care and attention they put into their feature wall and for being the only team to include a clothes line in their garden. While there were many great features the judges didn’t think they all worked together cohesively.

Stace and Yanita

Still riding on a high from Yanita’s proposal earlier in the week, Team Orange put in an impressive effort to complete their outdoor area. Bernadette called the space a “real little sun trap” and Jason loved their lush planting. Both judges liked the built in bench seat but thought the addition of some squabs would have helps to complete the look.
