From The Block NZ to The Bloc in Mt Eden, this creative couple have soared to new heights since their reality TV win, and the proof is in their newly opened homeware store
Alex and Corban’s homeware store at The Block Collective
After the success of their pop-up store last Christmas and steady sales online, our friends Alex and Corban decided to take on a permanent possie at Auckland homeware mecca The Bloc Collective in Auckland’s Mt Eden.
With a background as a fashion buyer, Alex is able to put her buying skills and eye for design to good use in their new store, stocking beautiful and functional pieces from local makers she admires.
Having only two weeks to transform the space and make it their own, the pair got stuck in right away, doing most of the design and installation themselves.
The look and style Alex and Corban have gone for in their new hub is inspired by nature. Think rich and textured neutrals, linen and wood, and plenty of soft and comforting layering.
The store layout is designed so that people can visualise whole spaces in their home, with bedroom, nursery, dining and living schemes set up to inspire.
