Luxuriate in the calming aroma of eucalyptus with this handy wall hanging
You will need
- 3 x lengths 10mm dowel
- Ruler or tape measure and pencil
- Hand saw
- Sandpaper
- Interior wood stain
- Foam brush
- Wool and scissors
- Eucalyptus or flowers of your choice
- Small picture hook or nail and hammer
- Measure 60cm from end of each dowel, mark with pencil and cut with a saw. You now have 3 x 60cm lengths.
- Roughly sand dowels and smooth ends, then paint with interior wood stain using the foam brush. If necessary, apply a couple of coats, leaving to dry in between coats.
- Once dry, lay dowels on floor, spaced roughly 20cm apart. Take the end of the ball of wool and tie a knot 5cm in from the end of the bottom dowel. Take wool to the dowel above and tie a knot around it. Repeat for top dowel.
- Measure off about 60cm wool (to allow for hanging) then tie a knot around the top dowel at the other end. Repeat for the middle dowel and then the bottom dowel. Snip off remaining wool.
- Make 2 bunches of eucalyptus (we used dried gypsophila too) and tie with wool. Tie bunches to dowels.
- Hang from the wall with a small picture hook or nail.
