Discover Canterbury-based Lee Sinclair’s handcrafted creations.

Lee Sinclair has been drawing, creating and “generally just making” since she was a child. She has turned her childhood craftiness into a business with Cloud Nine Creative. Her carefully curated jewellery and prints range, which she produces from her home studio in Ohoka, North Canterbury, has now branched out to include homeware and artwork.
“I’ve always been passionate about interiors and realised some of the tiny graphics I was using on the jewellery would work well as larger scale items.”
Her new Scandi Home collection features cushions, prints and planters in of-the-moment pastels and metallics.

“I absolutely adore Scandinavian design. It’s fresh and contemporary with its clean lines, geometric patterns and graphic elegance. I’ve added sweet hues of mint green, blush pink, cool grey and a hint of metallic shine. The range is perfect for the summer months and complements natural timbers, leather, linens and neutral walls really well,” says Lee.

Every Cloud Nine item is handcrafted, with limited runs on products “to make it that little bit more special”. The cushions are specially printed with unique designs and made in the Canterbury studio, and the art plates and planters are hand painted.
Lee has a strong following in Canterbury, which grew after the ‘Love Christchurch’ jewellery collection she created to raise funds after the Christchurch earthquakes. “It has been so lovely to have the support of the community and I’ve been thrilled to see so many people wearing my creations.”
