New Zealand’s most expensive house per square metre is now for sale in Queenstown. The perfectly positioned property sits elevated on Queenstown’s lakeside giving extensive views of the waterfront. The only catch is the house is only 33 square metres.

Each square metre measures out to be $34,800 making it more expensive than some properties in New York or Paris according to the Global Property Guide.

The current owner of the Queenstown property, Allen Mitchell is giving buyers the option to have the land including the house for $1,125,000 or selling only the 600 square metre piece of land for $1 million and taking the house with him.

“We’ve been fascinated at how well we can live with so little.” Allan says.

We’ve found some micro living ideas to inspire the right buyer for this property.
