Gucci is set to launch its own home décor collection

Hold onto your handbags people! Gucci have just announced they will be releasing a home décor collection in September and it’s just as extravagant as you’d expect.

Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Micheleis responsible for the opulent and eclectic range of cushions, candles, and furniture pieces all sporting the fashion houses’ iconic animal motifs, patterns and codes, some of which you may recognise from the Gucci Garden collection.

Plush velvets, intricate prints and rich jewel tones combine in one fantastic colour clash to create a collection that manages to reflect a bygone era while simultaneously setting trends.

Fashion meets furniture in the ‘Chiavari’ chair – a Ligurian design crafted from wood with a lacquered red finish and embroidered velvet cushion.

The intricate motifs on each chair are embroidered and then hand-applied, a process that takes approximately 10 hours to complete, according to Gucci.

Scented candles crafted from porcelain and produced by Richard Ginori feature bold motifs inspired by the ‘House’ aesthetic.
