The Block NZ: Week one kids room reveal

The competition kicked off to a dramatic start this week on The Block NZ with the judges awarding some of the worst and best scores in history.  The first challenge the teams faced was completing a kids bedroom. While the pressure got to some teams others nailed their design briefs. We take a tour through their room reveals and discover where to get the look.

Ling and Zing’s 3-year-old girl’s room 

Ling and Zing’s colourful banter couldn’t save them from the judges calling their room “boring” and scoring them a six.

‘s 6-year-old boy’s room 

A missing door, slighly off colour combo and interesting light feature didn’t do identical twins Julia and Ali any favours and the judges awarded them an abysmal one.

‘s 13-year-old boy’s room 

Stace and Yanita’s teenage boys room fell flat with the judges and the splattered paint on the carpet left them with a lukewarm score of 11.5 out of 20.

‘s 16-year-old girl’s room 

Although they were slightly apprehensive with the room they were assigned, Andy and Nate won the judges over with their creative feature ceiling and slick finishing touches.
